    • Due to the textured finish and composition of Belka the majority of sound waves that come into contact with it rather than being reflected are absorbed (up to 41%) and the rest are diffused. This product feature has helped builders and renovators to soften surfaces to reduce echo and inhibit the passage of sound from one area to another. It is this quality that makes Belka the perfect choice for walls and ceilings in Public spaces, restaurants, cafe's etc, hotel hallways and common walls, children's rooms and medical facilities anywhere you want to stop sound being amplified.
  • How will Belka affect the temperature in my room?
    • Belka acts as an additional level of insulation and aids in providing a thermal barrier to hot or cold walls transmitting the temperature through the wall. It also works to prevent the outside summer heat from entering a room through the walls. As Belka is made from cotton and cellulose fibres it has a natural tendency to absorb moisture such as humidity and condensation, later releasing it to regulate the micro climate inside.

    • Belka has been designed and constructed to meet the growing worldwide movement toward the wider use of building materials made from natural ingredients. Natural ingredients which are both environmentally friendly and safe for human contact.

All plant fibres used in Belka have been tested and are safe for human contact.
  • Does Belka have any light reflection benefits?
    • When a light wave makes contact with a smooth surface it bounces directly back at the source. But when a light wave makes contact with a textured surface such as Belka, the reflected beam is broken up into many light waves which are diffused in many directions.

In a room, diffused light beams result in a softer, more natural lighting. Offering reduced light intensity, with the added appeal of reducing or eliminating shadows, enhancing décor or aesthetic appeal and offering a feeling of tranquillity which promotes relaxation.
